Refund Policy

No Refunds After Course Access Is Granted. Dooney's Barber & Beauty Academy (TDLR Approved Provider #2491) sells digital continuing education courses delivered instantly upon payment. Because course content is made available to you the moment your purchase is confirmed, all sales are final once access has been granted. By completing your purchase, you agree to this policy.

24-Hour Courtesy Refund

As a courtesy, we will issue a full refund within 24 hours of purchase only if zero course progress has been recorded on your account — meaning you have not opened, played, or advanced past the first audio or video section. To request a courtesy refund, email support@dooneysce.com from the address used at checkout within 24 hours of your transaction. Once any content has been accessed, the course is considered delivered and is non-refundable.

Abandoned Enrollments

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requires approved CE providers to retain student completion and enrollment records for a minimum of two (2) years. For this reason, paid enrollments remain on your account indefinitely and cannot be deleted after payment. If you purchase a course but do not complete it, you may return and finish it at any time using the same account — no additional charge.

Certificate Delivery Is Separate From Payment

Your TDLR CE completion certificate is issued automatically once you finish all required sections and pass any applicable review. Certificate delivery is independent of your payment transaction. If a certificate fails to deliver or is not received, contact support@dooneysce.com and we will resend it at no cost — certificate delivery issues are not grounds for a refund.

Disclosure

This policy is disclosed to you conspicuously before you complete payment, in compliance with the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA). Clicking "Complete Purchase" constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of this Refund Policy in full.

Communications & SMS Consent

By creating an account with Dooney's Barber & Beauty Academy and providing your mobile phone number, you acknowledge and agree to the following communications practices, which are governed by the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), FCC regulations, and applicable Texas law.

Transactional Communications

We may contact you by phone, SMS, or email regarding your account, course enrollment, certificate delivery, payment receipts, technical support, and TDLR compliance matters. These transactional communications are a necessary part of the service you purchased and are not considered marketing.

Marketing Communications — Express Written Consent

By affirmatively checking the SMS consent box at registration, you provide your prior express written consent, under 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200, to receive marketing and promotional communications from Dooney's Barber & Beauty Academy at the mobile number you provided. This includes CE renewal reminders, new course announcements, promotional offers, and related messages, which may be delivered using an automatic telephone dialing system (ATDS), prerecorded or artificial voice, and/or SMS text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of purchase — you may purchase and complete any course without agreeing to receive marketing messages.

Opting Out — STOP and HELP

You may opt out of marketing SMS at any time by replying STOP to any marketing message. You will receive one confirmation message and will not be sent further marketing texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@dooneysce.com. Opting out of marketing messages does not affect transactional messages necessary to deliver your course or certificate.

Data Use & Third Parties

Your phone number is used solely for: (a) certificate delivery fallback, (b) renewal and expiration reminders, (c) course and account support, and (d) marketing communications if you have opted in. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with any third party for their own marketing purposes. We share your number only with our licensed SMS delivery provider (e.g., Twilio) strictly for the purpose of transmitting messages you have consented to receive, and with law enforcement when required by subpoena or court order.

Boilerplate on Marketing Messages

Every marketing SMS sent by Dooney's Barber & Beauty Academy includes the following disclosure: "Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."
