Which CE course do you need?
TDLR's requirement depends on one thing: how long you've been licensed. Licensed under 15 years, you need 4 hours of CE per two-year renewal period — sanitation, human trafficking prevention, and Texas law and professional practices. Licensed 15 years or more, you qualify for a reduced 2-hour course covering just sanitation and human trafficking prevention.
The same requirement covers every barbering and cosmetology license type TDLR issues: Class A barbers, cosmetology operators, estheticians, manicurists, eyelash extension specialists, and hair weaving specialists.
